SHEVET YUVAL
Shevet Yuval was launched by Bnei Akiva in 2008 and meets weekly on Saturday afternoons from 5:30 – 7:30 (during the summer months). The weekly meetings are planned by the leaders where they strive to incorporate informal educational and fun! Every second Saturday afternoon, Shevet Yuval integrates with a either year 10, 11 or 12 from Bnei Akiva.
Camp and Integration weekend:
Shevet Yuval partakes in both a summer and winter week-long camp. During these camps, we try and integrate Shevet Yuval into activities with other groups.
Each year, Shevet Yuval goes away for a Shabbat with another year level from Bnei Akiva. These weekend holidays aim to further develop the bonds between those in Shevet Yuval and the particular year level attending.
Café Yuval:
Last year Bnei Akiva launched Café Yuval, where a ‘café’ was set up, where about 400 members of the community attended. Guests were provided with a 3 course meal, where the Shevet Yuval chanichim were the waiters and waitresses. Not only was Café Yuval was an extremely successful fundraiser, but it provided those in Shevet Yuval the opportunity to meet members of the community and to show them their abilities and strengths. This year we intend to further develop Café Yuval which will take place in the second half of this year.
Saturday Nights:
A program is in the process of being developed, where on a Saturday or Sunday night, a Shevet Yuval member will be partnered up with a member from year 11 or year 12 of Bnei Akiva. Together with madrichim the groups will go on a social outing, whether it is bowling, coffee, dinner, baking or picnic (to name a few options!) We envision that each group will meet once a month.
Shevet Yuval in Israel:
This coming September Shevet Yuval will embark on an exciting two and a half week trip to Israel. An itinerary has been developed, where we will spend a weekend at a kibbutz, visit an army base, volunteer, conduct leadership seminar, and tour the land and a lot more!

THE FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE
The Friendship Circle extends a helping hand to families who have children with special needs and involves them in a full range of social and ethnic experiences. The Circle’s unique formula introduces teenage volunteers to the children and their families, and through the shared
experiences, all are enriched. The teenage volunteer learns the value of giving, and cherishes the experience of making a difference in a child’s life. The child’s family gets a needed respite and the pleasure of seeing their child become a part of the community circle. The Friendship Circle
is made up of five parts: volunteers, children, parents, staff, and supporters. The true beauty of the Circle is how we all link together to form a seamless circle of friendship.
